As I think about what yoga means to me, the first word that comes to mind is "naava," which is the Hindi word for "boat." It represents the ebbs and flows of life, the challenges and triumphs that we experience everyday. I became a yoga teacher so that I may spread my love of this transformational practice to my community. As a result, Naava Yoga was born.
I left India when I was six years old and traveled to America, where I grew up and pursued my dreams. Through yoga, I've remained connected to both my Indian roots and my American upbringing. I'm grateful for the opportunity that yoga gives me to be my complete, authentic self. I hope to help my students find the same kind of love, joy and acceptance that I have found.
At Naava Yoga, you come as you are. The practice is yours, and the honor of guiding you through it is mine. I can't wait to get to know you better. See you on the mat!
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti...
With love and light,
